The B!G day.. & am Missing it! The crowd… friends… staffs …. fellow students seen in “big black dress”..! Yeap.. its our official convocation day today on 30.03.2008! A day not-to-be forgetten by many and certainly by me. Today also witnessed the Day Light Saving change in UK timing, we have moved 1 hour forward as of today at 1:00 AM. The time we shall be following is GMT +1. I wish I was at Chennai attending the function, to the least catching up with old friends after a long break and chit chatting.. a unforgettable moment!
Thanks to Digital Technology, seems most of my friends have been carrying their Digital Camera & Camera Enabled Mobile Phones… sure to see some aww pictures and shots in my inbox sooner! Will update this post with them.
Just typed www.google.com and to my shock I saw a black page load… was in shock to imagine if Google was hacked or if my browser has been hijacked to some porn site (lol!).. but hey .. something new from Google on 29th of March 2008.. its called Google Earth Hour! You better check more info at link here…!
Good move google but shouldn’t have taken so long to realize on this… I have seen couple of sites which offer google service in a black screen, now its time Google serious thought about this. And they have provided tips on how to save energy.. so I believe today from 8:00 PM to 9:00 PM GMT… people will support this move..! Go black.. go.. Oops.. Go Google.. Go

So does my Easter Holidays! A good season to have some fun, entertainment & getting together with friends..! Gosh.. been waiting for a break for last couple of days… the day starts with end of my second term in Post Graduation and start of Easter Holidays & BarCamp Brighton2 ! There has been a lot of updates with BarCamp Brighton, and few were interesting to have a read.. if you haven’t had a look I would suggest too! Had plans to do some presentation about TNP and help our pitching here from BarCamp Brighton, but I hope its not gonna happen.. the folks have been very busy with few projects which have been in delivery phase.. so no one had time to actually sit and work on getting it done! I am indeed missing a good oppurtunity though for pitching TNP in UK with Local Market!

BarCamp Brighton 2 will be on 15-16 March 2008 — it’s a free-to-attend 48 hour unconference for designers, developers, geeks, social softies & ui freaks. The best part is… venue has been fixed as University of Sussex.. yea where I study! So its gonna be total fun meeting up the local geeks, designers, developers and UI freaks. I still remember the fun we had BlogCamp and PodWorks, for which I was one among the organizers…! Just can’t wait for BarCamp Brighton to kick start!

A disapointing day indeed.. but the best part is I could understand something about myself! We had Information Technology Systems presentation, I choose a topic “Digital Age Enterprise“. I choose to talk about YouTube.com, the world’s popular Video Sharing site.. the reason was straight forward and simple… “Young and Simple” and yet powerful in terms of User base and traffic. I had plans to talk about Amazon, eBay, Google.. but these companies have been around us for a long time and every one knows about them as much I do! YouTube is a corporate product and a big business model which has high potential!
