I have noticed a lot of videos at YouTube that has Sivaji (Rajinikanth’s Next Magnum Opus with Shankar & A.R.Rahman) Movie’s Trailer which was unveiled to public in CNN-IBN. Most of videos have CNN-IBN Logo’s integrated which makes the video look too small and more over its not of high quality. With just 15 days more for the movie to release, the speculation is raising higher and higher among Super Star fans!

Revolutionary product from Google Gears Up! Yeap, its called “Google Gears“, Google launched Google Gears at it’s Developer Day in Sydney on Thursday. Google Gears is an open source platform that could allow Web applications such as Gmail and YouTube to be used offline.
In short Google Gears is an open source application thats gonna help your Web 2.0 (AJAX) web applications available offline. Applications such as GMail, YouTube and many more can now be available to you offline! Its not just for Google Applications, its gonna be Open Source. Any developers who develop their application with AJAX technologies are gonna be benefited with this functionality. It will be available as API to all developers who can make the best use of it and provide them an offline functionality.

Google Gears (BETA) is an open source browser extension that enables web applications to provide offline functionality using following JavaScript APIs:
Store and serve application resources locally
Store data locally in a fully-searchable relational database
Run asynchronous Javascript to improve application responsiveness
The Google Gears is Currently available only for Windows XP/Vista, Linux & Mac and for FireFox & Internet Explorer Browsers, Opera Fans may have to wait for a while to use this on Windows Based PC’s!

Podworks is the first of its kind podcasting workshop to be conducted in chennai on June 9 and 10. The two day event which will take place at Tidel Park will have the some of the famous podcasters from the country. Podworks is yet another initiative from the Knowledge Foundation, the key force behind the events like Blogcamp,Wikicamp and many other events. Podworks will be a workshop style unconference where all the knowledge needed for making a podcast will be imparted from people who have done it before and there will also be many hands on sessions, competitions and discussions.
Podworks will be India’s Biggest Event on Audio & Video Podcasting event and promises to bring the best of the podcasting/blogging/new media community together to learn, share, experience, and grow.
There will be a door donation of Rs.200 for meeting the expenses of the event and of course there will be some give aways which will help you continue your podcasting experiments at home.

Yahoo! I saw MGR today, but it happened to be a dupe! The fun continues past couple of days and marriages keep ringing in every corner of the city. Yesterday while I happened to ride my bike down to Adyar, I could possibly see 10 marriages happening in the route I passed by. And today was the reception of my Friend’s (Karthikeyan) sister.
Assembled there at 7 PM and we could see a huge crowd and there were some light musics around and stage was magnificent! And my friends crowd was too the extreme as I could sense more crowd than before. We all had chit-chat for a while and then had to leave down to dip our tounge with some Ice (with Syrups) and then we had to wish the Bride & Groom a Great Life ahead.. as we were progressing towards the stage. An old song from MGR’s 80’s song was played.. “Naa.. Ungal Vitu Pillai..Iru Voor arindha Unmai..” I guess my tamil wasn’t that bad.. and almost everyone (atleast we the gang) were stunend to see a guy dressed up like MGR who came up on the stage and started to perform a dance number.
He imitated just like the MGR, but the amount of Pink Powder (Make Up) used was a way tooooooooo HIGH! Yeap, it was like he painted his face in Pink! (lols!!). We proceeded down to the dinner, and it was Yummy as well!

Voila! It was exciting at first to start my practise test with TOEFL iBT but I moved on it started to get hectic as the lectures and passages were tempting me to take a break. I just get started with my TOEFL preparations today, many say that one does not need a preparation for TOEFL.. now thats crazy I would say! If you good on the quality of English then it stays good else its a nightmare! I mean more than knowledge and content, Presence of Mind is what matters the most.
I gave shot through Kaplan CD-ROM and I should say I performed well in listening than in reading. I was able to score a 80% in my listening on my first test while 60% on reading and as far Speaking and Writing, I had to self grade myself due to offline functionality of the program. But after couple of more practice I aim to reach a decent level. I firmly believe nothing comes to your hand without practice. I am still feeling nervous about GRE as I haven’t yet started much on it. But TOEFL is great, specially I love the listening part but sometime it drives me made when the lecture is about Marine Biology or Psychology based subjects as I gotta pay extra attention to them.
I was recording my voice through exam and played back to see if it was any good, I guess voice is good only that if I had added more content respective to the subject I am talkin’ about it could have added more sense! (Giggles!!). All in All, in couple of more practice I wish I could ace them! And for all your TOEFL iBT takes, Kaplan is really good choice to go on with. I have Barrons and Longman which I shall try out after I complete the test from Kaplan (only if I have ample of time!).
Leaving to have my lunch and will be relaxing for a while and have to attend the marriage reception function of my college mate’s sister. And I can expect a small meet with many of classmates there. And after all its food, party & enjoyment everyone is looking out for! Seeya guys!
Yea.. it was kinda slow day today. Got up early to check if my downloads in the queue were moving up on the right way and then was learning .. yes I said. I was learning! Just trying out tutorials from Kaplan TOEFL iBT CD-ROM. I just have 1 week more exactly to crack my GRE and TOEFL exams. If you don’t know whats I am talking about, I am planning to do my masters at the United States and to do so one has to go through this exams and get GOOD SCORES! Gosh. I am lacking in my preparations but hopefuly this will be just my try and if everything goes well I will be flying for this fall else fall before flying! I am gone nutz!
By afternoon I became so lazy that I went for a small nap and had my lunch and spend my time useless and staring at my notebook monitor,… Gosh!! When will I be serious ? I guess if I plan and execute things well in the next 7 days I can expect a decent score in GRE and TOEFL? What say? And for all movie folks out there, reservations for Pirates of the Carribean 3 starts tomorrow!! Johny Deep, my fav. :)!

Yea.. as planned! I joined the fun at 7:00 PM and we had good dinner and gossips till late 10. We had to pass on to Marina Beach for a petite discussion about our post-college life!
Reached back home at 11 PM. And on Sunday there is yet another function which we guys will be attending but this time its one of friend’s sister reception for which he had invited us.
We people are making use of all such functions for a get together! Ins’t that a great way to keep moving on.. and on.. coz we meet very often! Who knows when is the next one gonna be 
?
All in all a memorable day but with missing few more buddies (you know who you are!). Delicious Food, Colorful Crowd & Cheerful Friends!!
