It was just couple of hours stay at IAS Officer’s Mess (Chennai) where Captain aka Sakthi threw a small birthday party for our class mates during afternoon of November 29th (yesterday). We had a great time chatting and not to forget the lunch we had there.
Bunch of people from our class gathered and everyone looked bright after their exams and with those colorful look just spiced them up. People are enjoying their exam holidays and came here to spend some time in his party. Feel so happy when I think about our small get together. I happened to carry my Digital Camera (I always do that) and took couple of snaps and uploaded it to orkut and hey not to forget 2 videos which I took and uploaded to YouTube. Will be posting them here soon.

Yeap! I am doing a e-learning as I blog here 
We have Software Testing tomorrow and we people don’t have anything so called notes/xerox/book for this subject. We were asked to take e-books from the internet that were relevant to our Syllabus over here.
I started hunting ebooks and resources related to it and have gathered with stuffs thats around 70 MB+ and thanks to my friend Vikram who managed to gather me couple of books. If you are one of my college mate and looking for those ebooks, follow this link, which has two directories namely “E-Books” and “Others” which you would have identified by now from the name. The ebooks and other misc. stuffs would be live till tomorrow evening, make a good use of it while its there.
In our entire 4 years of engineering, this test really sounds amusing as people study their subject online or atleast through their system. I can see around 16 of my college mates who are online at this time studying for the subject via E-Books! This is really amusing, I should get their views about e-learning. I just asked one of my friend (Vidhya.V) and guess the first reply I got from her ? Well, thats one of my favorite reply too.. its “na.. it SUX!“.
I could see people having their status (a message that you can add after your name in IM’s) as ‘Busy, Studying”, “Studying”, “:(, s/w testing ???????” and whole lot of funny quotes! Guys, believe me I come across so many amusing things in my college life and its great to be a part these joyful moments in life. I am having a great time these days at college not to forget the time during 15 minutes prior to commencement of exams!

Lets start my crazy tips for preparing and appearing for exams. As I stated in my previous blog, these tips to just entertain you people and not to be noted serious. HuH!! After this is my blog and its my wish to blog about anything I like (isn’t?) !
TIP #1: The 40 of 40
The scenario is examination hall where you are provided with an answer sheet where one would normally answer the questions and fill pages. When I mean 40, it depends on the answer booklet you receive during exams. We get an answer sheet that has 40 pages embedded in it. Students normally feel by filling all the 40 pages in a answer sheet would gradually help them secure a pass percentage required to clear the subject.
The plan is something like this, 35 upon 70 is considered passmark as of our college is considered. You make sure you fill all the entire 40 pages and estimating 1 mark for each page would definitely fetch you somewhere around 40 (something above 35) and that gives you a clear idea of getting though the exams. When I mean filling pages, that doesn’t have to be filling with crap or different subject other than one you appear. Learn something and provide them in a elaborate way. Plan the way you would answer various sections. 6 to 7 (or max of 
for 10 Mark questions and remaining used for 2 marks.
The basic idea is, students feel that people who evaluate the answer sheets don’t posses much patience and correct these answer sheets as soon as possible so as to cover the remaining 100’s of sheets in their hands. By doing so they just look out for specific data on your marksheet such as a digram, equation, syntax or keyword thats related with question you will be answering. But at times, when the work of these evaluators go tedious they just put some random marks depending on contents and so 40 pages would definitely secure you a good pass percentage.
But do make sure you learn something so you can make use of entire 3 hours of examination. This is just 1 of crazy tips that I am providing you, check back soon for more updates that I would provide here. Overall, nothing is as good as “PURE DEDICATION & HARDWORD” !
Its been sometime I blogged here, reason that made me not to be active were primarily lazyness (lol!!), exams (am I kidding??) and last is nothing much to talk about. I admit life does needs a change but I fear that the change encountered might take us in negative way unless we are sure of what we do, alright I know what you would be thinking now (mad??). Enough of all crap I am talking here.
I wanted to share something amusing thing today and it might even turn up to be a good tip for those preparing for their exams. But at any cost don’t try this (performed by professional and not to be imitated). My semester final exams are going on and oh yea I am in my final year (7th semester) and we have our exams rolling very early (but who cares). I have been performing kind of weired, don’t exactly know what the reasons are, I find it too lazy to learn things these days. The first exam was Mobile Communications and following this was Computer Networks and Management and I would never take risk in explaining about how I performed them (got the clue?).
And I was on track to go ahead with my next exam which was CBT or Component Based Technology. I am of kind very reserved when it comes to exam, I just attend questions I sort of know and leave the one’s which look geek and latin to me. This has helped to some extent but at times made me fail miserably, but believe me you just need to co-ordinate with bunch of guys around you who have no clue of what they are doing for exams. Have a friendly talk and gather some great tips and perform them, who knows they might help you out better in your exams.
Some of random tips that some of my friends suggested me when we loose hope during exams! These might be crazy, its just that I wanted to share something that make our college life remember forever and don’t blame if stuffs here doesn’t work around. You know what to do after reading these tips I publish here.
The very first tip that comes out of the lip (sound rhyming huh?) is to fill the entire exam sheet that is provided to us. In our case we receive a answer book let that contains 40 pages. Take this for example, at times when you are unsure about getting a pass grade, fill up the entire 40 pages and keeping in mind 1 mark for each page fetches you 40 marks and something that gives you assurance for a pass percentage. The general structure of our exams are 70 in Theory Paper and 30 in Laboratory. Getting 35 upon 70 is considered a pass.

BTW, the post has a title called “The Great 40!”, you might be thinking whats so great about it, well the very first fact is that I tried following the tip posted above and lets see how far things workout. Its not that I filled the 40 pages with crap, I did put across something I learnt through this semester and more over this is the first time in my whole college/school career where I have been able to write all pages in my answer sheet!!
