Proejcts..? projects.. projects!!? The Buzz word when you? probably are in? Final Year of College.? So? whats? thrilling about it ?? Does it give you credits ? Fame? Money? Job? Career? Wife (lol)? Well, we all know the most crucial time of college is when we reach the end of it thinking about our projects.
The funniest part of? is, we start as if knew nothing about developing one but end up in bringing up something we might not have never thought about.? Dedication, Concentraton and some Team Work is all you need to keep it moving. Most of us at this time are in hunt for ideas for the final year projects.
Its really pain doing things at last minute though we have time and resource to get it done. I spent some time today to find some of the areas/topics on which the final year project can be worked upon (though my field would always be in Web Development, I wanted to help my fellow friends with some ideas that I can provide them to implement their work).
I am just trying to stick? around CSE/IT related areas? for some topics/ideas. Though there are pleanty around, I will keep updating this page when needed and meanwhile if you feel you got some good idea, post a comment below.
Final Year Project - Ideas (Computer Science/IT Based)

SMS Pizza Ordering
The Software must be able to Recieve SMS from registered users to order Pizzas. The user sends an SMS in a preefined format to a number. A GSM module connected to a PC is used to read SMS and Process the order. A bill will be printed on a printer attached.

IDS (Internet Distribution System)
IDS (Internet Distribution System) aims at capturing the data regarding any hotel that comes and registers with the IDS and maintains the data regarding its rooms, inventory, setting up of the rates for the rooms on different criteria like segment, Timeframe and season, setting up of discounts and provides for online reservation for the Hotel. The Hotel would be charged based upon the reservations made and a predefined agreement between the Hotelier and the IDS.
Embedded web server for remote access
The aim of the project is to control the devices or equipment’s from the remote place through a web-page. Here all the devices which are to be controlled are connected to the relays(acts as switches)on the webserver circuit board. The web-server circuit is connected to LAN or internet. The client or a person on the PC is also connected to same LAN or internet. By typing the IP-address of LAN on the web browser, the user gets a web-page on screen, this page contains all the information about the status of the devices( whether they are ON or OFF). On this page the user is provided with checkboxes to check or uncheck the boxes in order switch OFF or switch ON the devices.? ?
Finally Google starts its game on Orkut. For people around who do not know what Orkut is all about, here is something you need to know.

Orkut is an online community website designed for friends. The main goal of our service is to make your social life, and that of your friends, more active and stimulating. orkut’s social network can help you both maintain existing relationships and establish new ones by reaching out to people you’ve never met before.
Who you interact with is entirely up to you. Before getting to know an Orkut member, you can even see how they’re connecting to you through the friends network.
Orkut makes it easy to find people who share your hobbies and interests, look for romantic connections or establish new business contacts. You can also create and join a wide variety of online communities to discuss current events, reconnect with old college buddies or even exchange cookies recipes.
As always, Google’s way of promoting a product is to keep it in a Beta stage and allow users only through invitation from friends and users of its service (Gmail, Google Analytics..). Likewise Orkut is pure invite only basis where your friends sends you a invitation to join this personal networking community and you along with friends of friends form a big community and make Orkut bigger and friendlier place.
Well, this post has nothing to do with WordPress upgrade, its all about my surrounding and myself. I have been away from blogging for a while (almost a month, huh). Last time I posted a blog (about my trip to Manali), I had over hyped about my activeness in daily blogging, but the fact was I was not able to keep in touch.
Now, that I am back and getting back normal after some misleading things happening around me. To keep it short, after my arrival from Tour I had been busy with last minute preparations and organizing work for BlogCamp (India’s Biggest Unconference on Blogging). And meanwhile I was surrounded by personal problems and not forgetting my preparations on GRE literally going down. Overall I had some hectic days and things seems to get back normal.
Probably I should be active in my blogging spree from now on. BlogCamp, as you all know was a great great success, you don’t have to wait for words from my mouth since the media coverage on it was big and I had chance to meet some of people whom I always dreamt to have a meet one day (Amit Agarwal, Neha Viswanathan, Kiruba & Team and entire attendees of BlogCamp – everyone were inspiring in someway or the other). Though I missed my chance to the second day of BlogCamp, but thanks to Jaze and others who update on the events of BlogCamp on day and not forgetting the website of BlogCamp (http://www.blogcamp.in/) which helped to be the best resource for events happening around Tidel Park on Sept. 9th and 10th.
Well, not just my blogging habit needs a upgrade, even my life and passion towards it. Just being dreams is no way going to help build my future career, strong dedication and concentration has to be a part of it. I might be talking some blah.. blah here… its something to show you people around that I am getting to understand the real meaning of life, relationship, friendship, love and pain of loss. Nothing big, its simply that time reminds that I am in my final year of college and got 6 months to get kicked off.
Way to go people… expect some great updates from my blog!
The day is today. We the people of Information Technology Department are into IV/Tour for 10 days to an unforgettable tour in our college life. The places we are about to visit New Delhi - Shimla - Kulu Manali - Agra and all near by places of attractions.

It all started by some of folks of final year when they wanted to have a good gathering before we all depart from final year of engineering. But we or no one ever expected what we dreamt would rather turn to be a reality today. It all started as a discussion in classrooms but now we are geared up for the tour. It would not have been possible without some dedicated work of guys and gals of our department at our college!

From start of preparations to finalizing and getting the formalities done these people have been awesome in their work. But from my end there was nothing in help or guidance… all me like others could do was to show our support to them in getting things done.
