I had been too lazy to update my blog in the past the reason was simple. I am into Final Year of engineering studies and just have months to get my B.Tech Degree completed. But I always used to miss blogging a lot. I had sometime to spend online yesterday and my friend Varun Krishnan? pointed me to BlogCamp!

The reason I missed it out was I had been completely occupied with my college and preparation for my GRE. But after checking out the complete website of BlogCamp, the spirit within me got refined back. You might be wondering why I would had to be so ?
This barcampish event will be INDIA’S BIGGEST & THE MOST COMPREHENSIVE blog event ever conducted. This event will aim to push the bar way up. ?
That’s not all, the reason which made refine was the fact the even is being conducted in Chennai, where I reside. This event will be global in nature as arrangements will be made for participants from around the world can participate via video conferencing. Not to mention live blogging, Webcasting and podcasting of all the sessions. I had put in the title its India’s biggest blog Unconference, you might be thing what’s this Unconference is all about, from the organizers webpage and via wikipedia:
Unconferences are immensely popular because of active participation of attendees, where everyone will be encouraged to have conversations around areas that interest them. Chaotic as that sounds, it sparks off many new ideas and is a whole lot of fun.?
You can check out their homepage and wiki page which glances an exclusive information that you want to anything and everything about BlogCamp!
Here comes a new Beta Windows Live tool from Microsoft “Windows Live Writer”. If you had been checking out their beta products lately, you could have witnessed the integration of Blogging in its upcoming Microsoft Office 2007 (or so called Office 12).

Windows Live Writer is a desktop application that makes it easier to compose compelling blog posts using Windows Live Spaces or your current blog service.
Blogging has turned the web into a two-way communications medium. Our goal in creating Writer is to help make blogging more powerful, intuitive, and fun for everyone.
Compatibility
Writer is a great client for Windows Live Spaces but also works with other weblogs including Blogger, LiveJournal, TypePad, WordPress (and many others).
Writer supports RSD (Really Simple Discoverability), the Metaweblog API, and the Movable Type API.

P.S: This blog entry was made through Windows Live Writer and I must admit it works perfect, from selection of category to uploading of pictures to right directory. The spell check is additional value to this great tool.
Got to know of this great site, www.merawindows.com where you can register and receive a Windows Vista DVD for FREE. the registration at the site is FREE as well. MeraWindows.com is a Microsoft Windows Community site for Indian users, not affiliated with Microsoft, but they have worked an agreement with the Windows team in Microsoft India to arrange for Vista Beta 2 DVDs for you.

The site aims to be the Community Site for Windows in India. I am already registered, are you?
Once your register at Mera Windows, just click the manage profile link and type in your postal address where the DVDs have to be shipped.
The Windows Vista installer is about 3.5 GB so instead of downloading this huge file, you can get a Windows Vista DVD shipped to your address in India for free. Just register at MeraWindows.com and you will receive 3 Windows Vista Beta 2 DVDs - one for you and the other two for your friends or relatives.
If you face any problem in getting this done, post a comment and I will offer a help if you hang up somewhere around. This is really a good intiative.
